Last week, PAC AUS- @Allison Hart from People and Culture and @Jess Alexander from Marketing and Communications attended the HRD Wellbeing Summit Australia 2024 at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney. This event brought together HR professionals to discuss  employee happiness, and workplace mental health.

The summit featured a series of practical sessions led by HR leaders from top companies, offering innovative approaches to enable every employee to thrive at work. Attendees engaged in dynamic discussions on designing effective well-being programs, managing psychosocial risks, and supporting psychological safety in the workplace.

A highlight of the event was the keynote address by Jelena Dokic, a former World No. 4 tennis player, Channel Nine commentator, speaker, and bestselling author. Dokic shared her inspiring journey from being a refugee growing up in poverty and facing domestic violence to becoming a mental health advocate. Her talk emphasised the importance of resilience, courage, and the necessity of normalizing conversations around mental health and abuse to support those in need.
